Year 1 Pupils star Unit 9 "My Neighbourhood"

Los Alumnos de 1º empiezan la Unidad 9 sobre Mi barrio
Vuestro hijo/a va a empezar la Unidad 9 de su libro de Conocimiento del Medio Macmillan Natural and Social Science 1. En ella verá el tema del barrio (My neighbourhood) y aprenderá a:
• conocer las principales partes integrantes de su barrio y la finalidad de cada una
• saber quiénes son las personas y las profesiones que suministran servicios al lugar
• saber los nombres de estas profesiones dejando a un lado los estereotipos
• identificar algunas funciones de profesiones conocidas y relacionarlas con el lugar de trabajo correspondiente
• decir su dirección
• nombrar elementos comunes en las calles de su barrio
• conocer y nombrar algunos medios de transporte
• clasificar medios de transporte según se desplacen por tierra, agua o aire
• comprender la importancia de seguir unas normas de seguridad básicas en la calle
Además, en esta unidad investigará a qué trabajos querrán dedicarse sus compañeros cuando sean mayores. Juntos van a recitar las rimas My neighbourhood, que les permitirán repasar el vocabulario principal en contexto. Animad a vuestro hijo/a para que las escuche mientras mira el Picture dictionary en la página 134 de su libro.

Los deberes para esta unidad consisten en que observe y anote las cosas que vea en la calle mientras va y viene al colegio. Ayudadlo/a para que se fije y anote cuántos semáforos, pasos de cebra, etc., ve en el camino.
